The Kauai Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the island of Kauai will host the 2016 Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament as part of the annual Aloha State Games. This will be the first time Kauai has hosted. The tournament will be played Fri-Sun., March 11-13, at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center, located in the town of Kalaheo. Our 2015 Senior Olympics tournament was held at the Holua Tennis and Pickleball Center in Kona (Big Island of Hawaii). It was a huge success. The island of Kauai will strive to make sure 2016 is more of the same!
Aloha! The 2015 Hawaii Senior Olympics Pickleball tournament was a huge success! Many Mahalos to Jack Hodges (Kauai Pickleball Ambassador) and Jackie Frame (Holua Pickleball Center) for getting pickleball added to Hawaii's Senior Olympics and for organizing the tournament. Thanks also to all the volunteers who gave their time to make the tournament happen. We had players from Kauai, Oahu, Maui and the Big Island as well as the Mainland. Next year's competition will only be bigger and better! Congrats to all the Kona Pickleball Hui players who medaled: Dave, Kevin, Jon, Todd, John, Tom, Emmanuel, Katy & Judy ... way to represent Big Island! Check out the photos on our gallery page.
